From Bench to Reality

The paper discusses the design of a robot that helps patient’s develop their movement skills rather than replacing them with robotic assisted movement.

This study uses CosmoBot which incorporates Roamer.  The researchers: K. A. Coleman Wood works as a research physical therapist with the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota; K. R. Kaufman is director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory also at Mayo Clinic.  And C. E. Lathan is Founder and CEO of AnthroTronix, Inc., Silver Springs, Maryland.
